Every house does the whole “housing day video” thing; that has come to be expected. This year, Winthrop is amping up the expectations with a take on the Positive Post-It Project by spreading simple messages of joy (with the Winthrop crest stamped, of course!). I may be biased (I may or may not be a proud Winthropian myself), but it’s fun to see houses get more creative in their hopes of getting freshmen pumped for housing day.

Look for them around campus – and remember, freshies, if you’re lucky, you may just get into Winthrop. :)

So, after having enjoyed my flyby sandwich and warm soda (when are they going to fix that soda machine, anyway?) I went to Winthrop house for some post-class chill time. I was rudely awakened from my Facebook sesh by flashing lights and a SCREAMING alarm. What’s this? Oh, just the second fire alarm of the day. No big deal. And then three fire trucks showed up. Triple no big deal.

Come on Harvard. The weather is far too inclement for these shenanigans.
