The College Events Board is offering a free screening of “No Strings Attached” this Sunday, April 3rd, at the Science Center Hall B. Door opens at 7:45pm until capacity (about 400 seats) is reached.
The movie, which features Ashton Kutcher, aka Mr. Demi Moore, and Harvard alumnae and Oscar winner Natalie Portman in the lead roles, was released in late January of this year, and grossed over US$70 million. Not bad for a chick flick with an estimated budget of $25 million.
The official synopsis goes: “A guy and girl try to keep their relationship strictly physical, but it’s not long before they learn that they want something more.” (IMDB) Sounds familiar? If this describes your social life at Harvard, go see the movie. If it doesn’t, well, come anyway for the unreasonably attractive stars. (Even though Kutcher’s acting ability leaves much to be desired.)
Also, it was rated R for “strong sexual content.” I’m just saying.
RSVP on the Facebook event. “Like” the CEB on Facebook for dibs on future events, including Yardfest.

Urban Outfitters announced that their next show in their Secret Generator Series is today, Sunday, October 3rd at the Power Station at 540 Harrison Ave in South Boston. The band Neon Indian will be playing.
Neon Indian is a “chillwave band” (read: superhipster) from Texas. For those of you not hipster enough to know who Neon Indian is, don’t bother going. For the rest of you, GO because the show is free!
The show is first come, first served; doors open at 3pm and the show starts at 4pm.
Additionally, Urban Outfitters is giving away gift cards courtesy of UO and Levi’s at the show. Tweet pics from the show to @urbanoutfitters with the tag #UOxLEVIS and you could get one.
Why study on a Sunday when you can have you some free Neon Indian?

As one Voice Staff member is quoted saying “Ben & Jerry’s is the closest I get to believing in God.” With that said, it is important to report that between 12 p.m. (like now), and 8 p.m. you can go into Ben & Jerry’s (maybe a few times if you wear disguises…get creative…seriously, we want to see this), and get a free ice cream cone. Apparently it’s Fat Tuesday. Just sayin’.

No but seriously. This isn’t one of those e-mails that get sent over your list and then it’s like–ACTUALLY SAVE THE CHILDREN. We don’t know why they’re doing it, but if you go into the Chipotle in the square after 5 pm and flash your Harvard ID you get a free burrito. This is according to Rover the Harvard Application available on the iPhone. Go fill your Chipotle-craving bellies y’all!

Harpoon Brewery. Fo' free.
The US Constitution may not have remembered to include free alcohol along with free speech and a free press in the First Amendment, but Boston won’t let you down. Today, some hints on how to start trading up from your red Solo cups into a more elitist appreciation of ethanol:
Wine Gallery, located in Brookline, has free wine and spirits tastings periodically, along with a free sip from the Wine Jukebox at all hours. 21+, obviously.
Best Cellars has a featured wine every day, in case you happen to be in the Back Bay and are thirsting for more than water.
Harpoon Brewery offers a free beer tasting every Tuesday through Friday afternoon, along with a $5 tour and tasting on weekends. Located in the Marine Industrial Park.
Samuel Adams Brewery has a tour and tasting several times every day. They claim they’re “America’s World-Class Beer,” so I guess if you’re over 21, you can find out for yourself. Off the Stony Brook T-stop on the Orange Line.
Next week: stuff that isn’t free but might still be cheap!

Cost for regular people: $15. Cost to you as a Harvard student: $0. Ca-ching!
Now that we’ve all returned from our summers and are once again acclimating to life as a starving college student (presumably in preparation for our futures as starving grad students, starving artists, and, uh, starving investment bankers), it’s time to look at the bright side and remember all the free stuff Boston has to offer.
Today, the classy, artistic, and historical stuff:
