YardFest 2011 Artists Lineup

Posted by on March 23, 2011 at 9:42 pm

Mark your calendar: April 17th, 2011, 5:30pm – 8:30pm. Organized by the College Events Board and the Harvard Concert Commission.

It’s a great excuse to get intoxicated in the afternoon. But remember, no drinking on an empty stomach! That’s why HUHDS is going to be and, you know, feed us with food and stuff. Menu and other details to be released soon.

Hmm…this would be a decent lineup if the show was at night…but I can’t imagine enjoying this in the sunny afternoon.

Is this what Harvard students want? I feel like liberal arts outdoor festival-atmosphere screams for indie music, not top 40.

The White Panda is solid, Sam Adams is decent, and I’d enjoy Far East Movement if I was hammered and grinding up on people, but I feel pretty awkward getting my club dancing on while sipping beers and smoking joints in the bright sun.

Others? Feel me? Or am I out of touch with what Harvard kids listen to?

Yeah man not gonna lie you are a bit out of touch with what Harvard students listen to. I personally love Sammy Adams’ work and appreciate Far East Movement, but haven’t really heard much White Panda. Nonetheless, I think the whole beer sipping, joint smoking, etc. in the afternoon sun would have the opposite effect and be quite awesome. Not to disrespect your comment at all, but I think they did a good job catering to what the Harvard students want to hear.
