In an e-mail sent out earlier today from the Office of Student Life they relayed a statement from the Harvard Athletics Department “regarding vuvzelas and other artifical noisemakers:”

“It has become apparent that some individuals intend to use artificial noisemakers to both disrupt play on the field and detract from the overall fan experience for many spectators. In keeping with Department of Athletics’ commitment to conduct athletic contests in a manner that promotes good sportsmanship, artificial noisemakers will not be permitted inside the ticketed footprint of Harvard Stadium for the upcoming Harvard vs. Yale football game. We greatly appreciate your cooperation.”
