Sorry guys, but that CEB poll was really just to get an idea of the relative popularity of different types of artists, since polling on different "genres" doesn't really mean a whole lot anymore (i.e. "choose three! rock, alternative rock, indie, pop...?").

And, get ready for a news flash -- the CEB doesn't even pick the Yardfest artist! That's right -- the CEB is pretty much just in charge of tire swings and pink t-shirts. The actual concert production, including choosing an artist with a limited budget, is done entirely by the HCC, aka the Harvard Concert Commission, who also puts on Comedy for a Cause and the occasional campus visit from a famous musician.

So don't be fooled by that poll!

pretty much every other artist at the beginning of that list played at Bonnaroo 2009...:
Galactic, Andrew Bird, Grizzly Bear, Of Montreal, Passion Pit, Phoenix, TV on the Radio, Bela Fleck

I'd love to see any a second time.

My hopes are so high now, I hope they don't come crashing down
